Leg Sculpture Yard Art

Recently, a clothing store near our house went out of business. Aside from picking up a new cap emblazoned with rhinestones spelling out “sexy,” I ended up with another great item.

I had previously mentioned to a friend that I’d always wanted to own a mannequin. Several days later, she saw mannequins being loaded out of the store into a truck. She pulled into the parking lot and began haggling with the man loading the mannequins. That afternoon when I came home from work, a mannequin stood on my front porch.

I used the mannequin to make a plaster cast filled with insulation foam. The exterior is colored with spray paint and a splatter technique. I can only imagine all the neighbors are thrilled.
