Stacy Cantrell’s eye-catching crochet art will be part of the worldwide Night of 1,000 Fridas project.
Cantrell recently yarn-bombed the Takoma Park, MD clocktower with a public art piece commissioned by the city. Her work ranges from large-scale installations, to realistic sculptures, to craft work. You can find out more about her through her website.
I’m excited to have Cantrell on board. I always enjoy public art, especially when it disrupts what people expect. Cantrell has a wealth of experience in doing just this, and I can’t wait to see what she creates for Night of 1,000 Fridas.
